
Apple Puffs
Apple puffs made with puff pastry and cinnamon-spiced apple. A simple baked dessert for a kidney-friendly diet, with potassium and phosphorus listed.

- 1 small apple, peeled and diced
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp brown sugar substitute
- 1 tsp low-fat milk (for glazing)

- 3 small apples, peeled and diced

Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix diced apples with cinnamon and brown sugar substitute.
- Cut puff pastry into squares.
- Place a spoonful of apple mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the apple mixture and seal.
- Brush the top of each puff with low-fat milk.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
